Company Info
Brooks Art Glass, Inc. was established in May of
2001. The firm was previously known as Melotte-Morse-Leonatti Stained
Glass, Inc. (MMLSGI).
MMLSGI was founded in 1977. Owner of Brooks Art Glass, Inc, Steve
Brooks, was employed by MMLSGI for 12 of its 23 year history. During
this period, many significant restoration projects were completed,
such as Il. State Capitol Dome in Springfield, IL., the Frank Lloyd
Wright designed Dana Thomas House, also in Springfield, IL., and
the First Congregational Church (Tiffany)
located in Osh Kosh, WI.
In addition to the restoration work, new commissions as large as
1,500 square feet were completed. Mr. Brooks was project manager
on site, as well as in the studio for the 12 years he was with MMLSGI
on all of these projects.
Brooks Art Glass, Inc. will continue to offer a full range of services
to ecclesiastical, business and individual clients. These services
include complete restoration and conservational repair of existing
stained glass, including the supervision of its framing, final installation
and protective glazing. New glass commissions and decorative sandblasting
are designed and fabricated to the customized design requirements
of each client.
The Studios objective is to create a greater visual richness to
our environment through the use of proper lighting, color and symbolism
in architectural spaces and the proper maintenance and restoration
of established pieces of art.
